A seminary that is an arm of the local church.
Independent Baptist Seminary offers undergraduate theology, master’s, and doctorate degrees. Our classes are delivered through modules, online study, and correspondence — a framework built so that pastors, missionaries, and working believers can be trained without leaving the ministries God has given them.
Founded in September 2020 and led today by President Dr. T. H. Moore, the seminary carries the conviction that the best theological training flows out of, and back into, a gospel-preaching local church.

Four convictions that shape every course.
Baptistic
Every course is taught from historic Baptist distinctives — the local church, believer's baptism, and the autonomy of the congregation.
Independent
The seminary is an arm of the local church, free of any denominational hierarchy or board that would assign authority to itself.
King James Bible
We hold to the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture and teach the King James Version from the Textus Receptus.
Convenient
Online, module, correspondence, and in-person options are built for the working student, the pastor, and the missionary already in the field.

How Classes Work
Study where you are — five ways.
Up to 80% of a program can be completed online, so you can be trained without leaving your church or field.
Online
Available spring, summer, and fall — study over the internet, or by jump drive for a small fee.
Module
Two to three intensive on-campus modules each year, later posted online for those who missed them.
Correspondence
Directed studies in specific theological areas — ideal for graduate-level reading and analysis.
In Person
Evening classes each spring and fall on campus at Capitol Baptist Church in Dover, Delaware.
Transfer Credit
Bring approved credits with you. Available on a limited basis with prior approval.
